Dear Dwayne…
Your book brought back fond memories of my years at a small Catholic High School in West Virginia in the 1960s. It’s striking how similar the people and the situations you describe match my own experiences which makes Falcons: The Lost Year valuable for those who are not part of the Divine Child community.

I enjoyed every page. You must have kept a journal in high school. Thanks for writing a fun and informative book!

I couldn’t put Falcons: The Lost Year down. Looking back from my class of 1992 to Dwayne’s of 1962, it was remarkable to see the birth of not only Divine Child’s winning tradition of excellence, but also that of the school’s. The book is filled with lessons on life and living. Sports, most notably football, have always been considered at the front porch of any successful educational institution, which certainly rings true in this case. It was as fun as it was educational to see how the seeds for such a great school and its many great values were planted.

I am still excited by your book, even though I finished it a month ago. So much memory was jogged and now those renewed memories are all the more vivid and refreshing to think about. The book is a combination of a great sports story and tales of mischief from the good old days.

Football fans will enjoy the sports portions of the book. EVERYONE will enjoy the rest of the book!!!

Fabulous book! It was trip down memory lane for me. Now I want to share it with my best friend as a gift. I studied the pictures in the book for the longest time with a smile on my face all the while.

Because of your book I am focused for the first time in 10 years, after a tragedy in my life. Your book will be an inspiration to everyone that reads i.

Received your book as a gift on Friday. Read it Saturday. Weeks later I’m still smiling. Your book is a great read: lively, succinct, engaging, and enjoyable. You told your story with enough humor to entertain and seriousness to carry a message.

Vivid! I could picture the events in your book like I was there. This will make a great movie.

I chose to attend Divine Child for a lot of different reasons. One of those, however, was the tradition of the football program. After reading Falcons: The Lost Year, I had a greater understanding of where it all began! Congratulations Dwayne on this book. It brought to life not only a GREAT season… But a GREAT school! Indeed, once a Falcon…Always a Falcon.
