Excerpt from: Falcons: The Lost Year
Coach Tony was only twenty-two and this was his debut as a varsity football coach. He was the youngest varsity head football coach in the state. He had coached football at the grade school level and owned a winning record of twenty-eight victories against only two losses. He coached us last year when we played a mock Junior Varsity schedule and we went seven and zero. So, Coach Tony was the proud owner of a winning football record of thirty-five victories against only two losses. Together we won our first ever varsity football game. The big question now was could we win our second game, or was our first victory just a fluke?
